To All,
The Coastal Classic is next Saturday.
The crew for this event is Des, Julie, Craig, Brendan and Warren.
Any other members available on the weekend please advise.
If possible, as we are able to cover the event with the crew of 5, I
would request that any extra members assist at the Wollombi event.
Regards,
Des.
To all,
Many thanks to the crew for Trailwalker.
Setting up involved Craig, Peter, Brendan Julie and me. The masts in
position on Thursday. The repeaters and cross bands in on Friday.
The base was staffed by Cath, John, Warren, Graham and Dave.
The only incident we were involved in was the extraction from Jerusalem
Bay on Friday.
I followed the BSAR vehicle down the track with the mobile X-Band with
the BSAR members then able to communicate directly to the ECC.
An ambulance 4WD was used to transport the injured walker out to
Berowra for further assessment.
Our systems appeared to work as intended.
The next Sydney event is the Coastal Classic on Saturday September 1.
A reminder that Singleton also has the Wollombi Wild Ride on the same
day.
Regards,
Des
To All,
Up dated roster.
The Base roster is sort of final.
I have put Dave K in on Saturday and given John V the night off.
The field positions are flexible and Des, Craig and Brendan will
maintain 1 on duty, 1 on call and 1 resting for the duration.
Regards,
Des.
To All,
Hot on the heels is the Coastal Classic.
This event will be held on Saturday September 1.
The coastal Classic runs from Otford to Bundeena via the coastal track
along the cliff tops of the RNP.
The communications plan is to put members at Garie Beach, Wattamolla
Beach, Marley Beach and the finish, Bundeena RSL.
We should also try and support Andrew on the Wollombi Wild Ride, also
on the same day.
Anyone available to assist please email at sydney(a)crest.org.au.
Regards,
Des.
